Types Of Memberships

Senior Membership

A Senior Member has full use of all club facilities, can maintain a boat at Wessagussett Yacht Club, and has voting rights in the club. Although dock space is limited (there is a waiting list) moorings are available with free launch service, parking, dingy docks, club galley, bar service on weekends, discounted children’s sailing program and a great sandy beach, with a full schedule of social events.

As a senior or an associate member of Wessagussett Yacht Club, you will be expected to provide 20 hours of service each year: 12 hours in the spring and 8 hours in the fall.

Please note: new members are presented to the membership and then voted on by the Board of Directors.  There is a 10 day waiting/comment period after presented to the membership. If approved, in your 1st year you are considered an Associate Member after which you are transitioned to a Senior Member.

Social+ Membership

PLEASE NOTE: At this time there are no Social Plus memberships available.

A Social Plus Member has full use of the the club facilities and can keep up to two kayaks , paddle boards on the rack system at the club for their personal use.

Social Plus Members are not required to perform any work hours.

Social Membership

A Social Member has use of club facilities from the club viewing deck to a great sandy beach, galley, bar, but does not have voting rights and can not have a boat at Wessagussett Yacht Club. However all other club amenities, social events and services are there for your enjoyment. A memorable summer awaits you.

Social Members are not required to perform any work hours.

Please complete the following form if you are interested in applying for membership at Wessagussett Yacht Club. You will be contacted by the Membership Committee to discuss next steps. If elected, you agree to conform to the Constitution and By‐Laws and the Rules made for the government of the club.

We are currently only accepting interest for Senior Memberships.

Please provide the name of an existing club member in good standing that has agreed to sponsor your membership application.

An initiation fee, one year’s dues and current fees and assessments shall accompany all applications for new members that are accepted. These monies will be returned immediately if the application is not accepted. All applications are subject to 10 day posting and must be approved by the Board of Directors after posting. If paying by check please make payable to Wessagussett Yacht Club.

In consideration of being granted membership in the Wessagussett Yacht Club, and thereby the rights and privileges of such membership, for use of club property and the club premises, I assume all risks of, waive all claims for damages related to, and release and completely discharge the Wessagussett Yacht Club, its officers, agents and employees from and against any and all legal liability, claims, actions, or demands which I, my executors, administrators or successors may now or in the future have against the Wessagussett Yacht Club or its officers, agents or employees for injuries and/or property loss or damage sustained by me or any member of my family or my guests, during, or as a result of, or in any way connected with my use of the property or premises of the Wessagussett Yacht Club, regardless of cause and including but not limited to any defect in the property or the premises of the Wessagussett Yacht Club, or its officers, agents or employees.

I realize that the Wessagussett Yacht Club is a Member-maintained facility, and that there are risks to me my family and my guests involved in membership in such facility including, but not limited to moving vessels, pumping gasoline, loosely connected docks and ramps subject to movement in normal wave conditions, tripping hazards, fires and other possible hazardous conditions, and that without my furnishing this Member’s Release, I would not be granted membership in the Wessagussett Yacht Club, and I hereby waive notice of any hazardous or negligent conditions within or about the facilities, grounds, docks and vessels (premises) or any way connected herewith.
